An early morning in Wigston Magna, Leicestershire - August 31, 2016

Another good night for moths with 157 trapped and identified, covering thirty-two species, one of which was new for the year.


The following were recorded: Orange Swift [3]; Diamond-back Moth [1]; Brown House Moth [3]; Amblyptilia acanthadactyla [1]; Light Brown Apple Moth [17]; Garden Rose Tortrix [2]; Mother of Pearl [1]; Agriphila straminella [2]; Agriphila geniculea [12]; Brown China-mark [1]; Yellow Shell [1]; Common Marble Carpet [1]; Green Carpet [1]; Double-striped Pug [4]; Brimstone Moth [25]; Canary-shouldered Thorn [1]; Dusky Thorn [3]; Willow Beauty [4]; Straw Dot [5]; The Snout [1]; The Spectacle [1]; Burnished Brass [1]; Copper Underwing [1]; Marbled Beauty [1]; Flounced Rustic [3]; Centre-barred Sallow [6]; Common Wainscot [1]; Small Square-spot [1]; Large Yellow Underwing [34]; Lesser Yellow Underwing [15]; Square-spot Rustic [3] and Setaceous Hebrew Character [1].
