An early morning in Wigston Magna, Leicestershire - September 6, 2016

A good night last night with 201 moths trapped and identified covering thirty-four species but there was no new moths for the year.

The following were recorded: Ermine species [1]; Brown House Moth [1]; Blastobasis adustella [1]; Amblyptilia acanthadactyla [1]; Light Brown Apple Moth [15]; Garden Rose Tortrix [3]; Pyrausta aurata [1]; Mother of Pearl [1]; Agriphila geniculea [7]; Small Fan-footed Wave [1]; Small Blood-vein [2]; Garden Carpet [5]; Yellow Shell [1]; Common Carpet [1]; Green Carpet [3]; Double-striped Pug [2]; Brimstone Moth [31]; Dusky Thorn [4]; Willow Beauty [3]; Straw Dot [6]; The Snut [2]; Burnished Brass [2]; Silver Y [1]; Copper Underwing [4]; Mouse Moth [1]; Flounced Rustic [3]; Centre-barred Sallow [7]; Common Wainscot [2]; Flame Shoulder [2]; Small Square-spot [1]; Large Yellow Underwing [62]; Lesser Yellow Underwing [12]; Square-spot Rustic[7] and Setaceous Hebrew Character [5].
