An early morning in Wigston Magna, Leicestershire - June 15, 2018


I put the trap out last night and trapped and identified sixty-three moths covering thirty-two species, six of which were new for the year.

The following were recorded: Brown House Moth [2]; Light Brown Apple Moth [2]; Pseudargrotoza conwagana[1]; Thistle Ermine [1]; Small Magpie [2]; Chrysoteuchia culmella [1]; Crambus pascuella [1]; Agriphila straminella [2]; Poplar Hawk-moth [1]; Elephant Hawk-moth [5]; Riband Wave [1]; The Phoenix [1]; Green Pug [1]; Foxglove Pug [1]; Common Pug [1]; Clouded Border [1]; Brimstone Moth [2]; Peppered Moth [1]; Willow Beauty [2]; Buff Ermine [7]; The Cinnabar [1]; The Uncertain [1]; Large Nutmeg [2]; Rustic Shoulder-knot [1]; Dark Arches [1]; Bright-line Brown-eye [3]; Small Ranunculus [1]; Varied Coronet [1]; Common Wainscot [1]; Heart and Dart [12]; Heart and Club [1] and The Flame [2].
