An early morning in Wigston Magna, Leicestershire - June 11, 2018


Just thirty-six moths trapped and identified last night, covering nineteen species of which one, Cypress Tip Moth was a lifer and another four were new for the year.

The following were recorded: Cypress Tip Moth [1]; Plum Tortrix [1]; Celypha strinana [1]; Celypha lacunana [1]; Bee Moth [1]; Thistle Ermine [1]; Small Magpie [3]; Udea olivalis [1]; Crambus pascuella [2]; Elephant Hawk-moth [2]; Brimstone Moth [3]; Straw Dot [1]; Buff Ermine [5]; Gold Spot [1]; The Uncertain [1]; Angle Shades [1]; Rustic Shoulder-knot [1]; Middle-barred Minor [1] and Heart and Dart [8].
