An early morning in Wigston Magna, Leicestershire - June 10, 2018


I trapped and identified forty-eight moths last night covering nineteen species of which nine were new for the year.

The following were recorded: Diamond-back Moth [1]; Coleophora Species [1]; Timothy Tortrix [2]; Light Brown Apple Moth [1]; Celypha lacunana [1]; Notocelia trimaculana [1]; Bee Moth [2]; Small Magpie [1]; Crambus pascuella [1]; Agriphila straminella [1]; Elephant Hawk-moth [2]; Silver-ground Carpet [1]; Common Marbled Carpet [2]; White-spotted Pug [1]; Common Pug [1]; Mottled Pug [1]; Brimstone Moth [1]; Willow Beauty [1]; Straw Dot [1]; Buff Ermine [4]; White Ermine [1]; Burnished Brass [1]; Silver Y [2]; Gold Spot [1]; Dark Arches [2]; Marbled Minor species [1]; Middle-barred Minor [1]; Bright-line Brown-eye [1]; Heart and Dart [8]; The Flame [1]; Flame Shoulder [1] and Ingrailed Clay [1].
