An early morning in Wigston Magna, Leicestershire - May 29, 2018


I put the moth trap out last night and caught forty-eight moths covering seventeen species five of which were new for the year.

The Following were recorded: Light Brown Apple Moth [13]; Green Oak Tortrix [2]; Poplar Hawk-moth [1]; Privet Hawk-moth [1]; Common Carpet [1]; Peppered Moth [1]; Pale Tussock [2]; White Ermine [2]; Silver Y [3]; Rustic Shoulder-knot [4]; Bright-line Brown-eye [4]; Common Wainscot [1]; Heart and Dart [6]; Shuttle-shaped Dart [1] and Flame Shoulder [1].
