The moth trap was out again
last night and I trapped and identified seventy-seven moths of sixteen species,
one of which, Lunar Underwing, was new for garden and the year.
The following were recorded:
Light Brown Apple Moth [4]; Garden Rose Tortrix [1]; Small Dusty Wave [1];
Brimstone Moth [2]; Canary-shouldered Thorn [1]; Shuttle-shaped Dart [1]; Flame
Shoulder [1]; Large Yellow Underwing [22]; Lesser Yellow Underwing [16];
Setaceous Hebrew Character [6]; Square-spot Rustic [1]; Lunar Underwing [1];
Angle Shades [1]; Vine's Rustic [2]; Burnished Brass [1] and The Snout [1].
