An early morning moth trapping in Wigston Magna, Leicestershire - September 12, 1014

There were fewer moths today with just fifty-two trapped and identified with no additions to the year list.


The following were recorded: Light Brown Apple Moth [2]; Garden Rose Tortrix [1]; Celypha lacunana [1]; Agriphila tristella [1]; Chinese Character [1]; Garden Carpet [2]; Common Marbled Carpet [1]; Brimstone Moth [1]; Dusky Thorn [1]; Willow Beauty [1]; Heart and Dart [1]; Large Yellow Underwing [18]; Lesser Yellow Underwing [9]; Small Square-spot [1]; Setaceous Hebrew Character [3]; Square-spot Rustic [2]; Common Wainscot [2]; Centre-barred Sallow [1]; Vine’s Rustic [1]; Burnished Brass [1] and Snout [1].
