An early morning moth trapping in Wigston Magna, Leicestershire - September 10, 2014

I put the moth trap out last night and trapped and identified seventy-one moths of twenty-one species, none of which were new for the year.


The following were recorded: Diamond-back Moth [1]; Light Brown Apple Moth [2]; Garden Rose Tortrix [1]; Celypha striana [1]; Agriphila tristella [1]; Agriphila geniculea [2]; Small Fan-footed Wave [1]; Garden Carpet [1]; Lime-speck Pug [1]; Brimstone Moth [8]; Canary-shouldered Thorn [1]; Dusky Thorn [2]; Willow Beauty [2]; Flame Shoulder [1]; Large Yellow Underwing [23]; Lesser Yellow Underwing [7]; Setaceous Hebrew Character [5]; Square-spot Rustic [3]; Common Wainscot [2]; Centre-barred Sallow [3]; and Copper Underwing [1].
