An early morning moth trapping in Wigston Magna, Leicestershire - June 15, 2014

 Seventy-four moths were trapped last night covering twenty-eight species with Mompha ochraceella being a new micro although an Uncertain was the only other new moth for the year.

The following were recorded: Mompha ochraceella [1]; Light Brown Apple Moth [4]; Celypha striana [1]; Celypha lacunana [3]; Chrysoteuchia culmella [8]; Eudonia mercurella [1]; Common Carpet [1]; Common Marbled Carpet [2]; Freyer’s Pug [1]; Common Pug [1]; Brimstone Moth [4]; Willow Beauty [5]; Eyed Hawkmoth [1]; Elephant Hawkmoth [1]; Common Footman [1]; Buff Ermine [2]; Heart and Dart [19]; Flame Shoulder [1]; Large Yellow Underwing [2]; Ingrailed Clay [1]; Double Square-spot [1]; Bright-line Brown-eye [9]; Dark Arches [3]; Rustic Shoulder-knot [2]; Marbled Minor species [2]; Uncertain [1]; Plain Golden Y [1] and Straw Dot [1].
