An early morning moth trapping in Wigston Magna, Leicestershire - June 6

The moth trap was out last night but it was quite cool overnight and it yielded just twenty-four moths of sixteen species.  It included six new species for the year, one of which was, Mullein, was a new moth for me.

The following were trapped: Diamond-backed Moth [1]; Light Brown Apple Moth [2]; Eudonia mercurella [1]; Mottled Pug [2]; Common Pug [1]; Brimstone Moth [1]; Elephant Hawkmoth [1]; White Ermine [1]; Buff Ermine [5]; Cinnabar [1]; Heart and Dart [3]; Small Square-spot [1]; Bright-line Brown-eye [1]; Shoulder-striped Wainscot [1]; Mullein [1] and Burnished Brass [1].
