An early morning moth trapping in Wigston Magna, Leicestershire - June 8, 2014

There were thirty-nine moths trapped last night comprising of twenty-one species, none of which were new but there were six new for the year.


The following were trapped: Light Brown Apple Moth [2]; Pseudargrotoza conwagana [1]; Ancylis achatana [1]; Foxglove Pug [1]; Mottled Pug [3]; Common Pug [1]; Green Pug [1]; Brimstone Moth [2]; Elephant Hawkmoth [2]; Scarce Footman [1]; Common Footman [1]; Buff Ermine [5]; Heart and Dart [6]; Shuttle-shaped Dart [1]; Flame [1]; Ingrailed Clay [1]; Bright-line Brown-eye [2]; Dark Arches [1]; Rustic Shoulder-knot [4]; Marbled Minor species [1] and Plain Golden Y [1].
