An early morning at Newton Harcourt, Leicestershire _ July 23, 2012


This was an early morning emptying Dave’s moth trap.
There were eight nineteen micros covering eight species and sixty-eight macros covering twenty-one species.
The following were trapped: Willow Beauty [1]; Bryotropha terrella [1]; Blastobasis lacticolella [1]; Lozotaeniodes formosanus [1]; Aleimma loeflingiana [1]; Chrysoteuchia culmella [8]; Eudonia lacustrata [1]; Eudonia mercurella [4]; Golden Triangle [2]; Drinker [1]; Riband Wave [9]; Garden Carpet [1]; Double-striped Pug [1]; Brimstone Moth [1]; Scalloped Oak [1]; Popular Hawkmoth [1]; Buff-tip [1]; Coxcomb Prominent [1]; White Satin Moth [1]; Common Footman [13]; Heart and Dart [3]; Large Yellow Underwing [4]; Lesser Yellow Underwing [1]; double Square-spot [1]; Marbled Beauty [2]; Dark Arches [17]; Rustic sp. [1]; Uncertain [5] and Rustic [2].
