An early morning at Wigston Magna, Leicestershire - Augsut 12, 2015

Not quite such a good night last as the temperature was lower but I still trapped and indentified 157 moth covering thirty species but only one was new for the year.


The following were recorded: Long-horned Flat-body [2]; Furness Dowd [12]; Beautiful Plume [1]; Red-barred Tortrix [1]; Light Brown Apple Moth [3]; Grey Knot-horn [1]; Mother of Pearl [3]; Small Grey [2]; Garden Grass-veneer [6]; Common Grass-veneer [12]; Straw Grass-veneer [4]; Elbow-stripe [1]; Chinese Character [1]; Poplar Hawkmoth [2]; Riband Wave [9]; Dusky Thorn [2]; Purple Thorn [1]; Willow Beauty [11]; Scarce Footman [1]; Svensson's Copper Underwing [1]; Marbled Beauty [6]; The Uncertain [1]; Dark Arches [3]; Common Rustic Group [27]; Heart and Dart [1]; Shuttle-shaped Dart [3]; Large Yellow Underwing [18]; Broad-bordered Yellow Underwing [1]; Lesser Yellow Underwing [17] and Lesser Broad-bordered Yellow Underwing [14].
