An early morning moth trapping in Wigston Magna, Leicestershire - June 6, 2014

I had put the moth trap out again last night and initially there appeared to be very little outside the trap but I eventually found twenty plus.  The total caught and identified was 146 that included forty-two species, eight of which were new for the year and several new for the garden.

[1]; Celypha lacunana [1]; Ancylis achatana [1]; Chrysoteuchia culmella [31]; Crambus pascuella [5]; Mother of Pearl [1]; Rhodophaea Formosa [1]; Drinker [1]; Small Blood-vein [1]; Riband Wave [5]; Barred Straw [1]; Lime-speck Pug [1]; V-Pug [1]; Scalloped Hazel [1]; Light Emerald [3]; Elephant Hawkmoth [1]; Common Footman [20]; Buff Ermine [1]; Short-cloaked Moth [2]; Heart and Dart [2]; Flame [4]; Gothic [1]; Brifgt-line Brown-eye [3]; Clay [1]; The Shark [2]; Dagger species [2]; Marbled Beauty [4]; Dark Arches [16]; Light Arches [1]; Marbled Minor species [1]; Uncertain [12]; Rustic [3]; Burnished Brass [1]; Snout [3] and The Fan-foot [1].
