An early morning in Wigston Magna, Leicestershire - September 3, 1018


There were 237 moths trapped and identified last night covering thirty-four species but again there were none new for the year.

The following were recorded: Amblyptilia acanthadactyla [1]; Light Brown Apple Moth [12]; Garden Rose Tortrix [1]; Celypha lacunana [1]; Codling Moth [1]; Agriphila tristella [7]; Agriphila selasella [2]; Agriphila geniculea [21]; Chinese Character [5]; Small Fan-footed Wave [1]; Small Blood-vein [1]; Garden Carpet [1]; Yellow Shell [1]; Common Marbled Carpet [1]; Double-striped Pug [2]; Brimstone Moth [4]; Dusky Thorn [2]; Willow Beauty [6]; The Snout [1]; Copper Underwing [2]; Vine's Rustic [11]; Angle Shades [2]; Flounced Rustic [4]; Centre-barred Sallow [8]; Common Wainscot [2]; Heart and Dart [1]; Shuttle-shaped Dart [2]; Flame Shoulder [2]; Large Yellow Underwing [89]; Broad-bordered Yellow Underwing [1]; Lesser Yellow Underwing [14]; Lesser Broad-bordered Yellow Underwing [2]; Square-spot Rustic [13] and Setaceous Hebrew Character [13].
