An early start at Newton Harcourt, Leicestershire - August 7, 2013


Dave had his trap out again last night and we caught sixty-four moths of twenty-six species but no new ones.

The following were trapped: Barred Fruit-tree Tortrix [1]; Garden Rose Tortrix [3]; Celypha striana [1]; Crambus perlella [1]; Agriphila tristella [10]; Agriphila geniculea [1]; Udea lutealis [2]; Udea prunalis [1]; Phycita roborella [1]; Single-dotted Wave [1]; Riband Wave [2]; Red Twin-spot Carpet [2]; Willow Beauty [2]; Sallow Kitten [1]; Pebble Prominent [1]; Shuttle-shaped Dart [3]; Large Yellow Underwing [1]; Lesser Broad-bordered Yellow Underwing [7]; Cabbage Moth [1]; Smoky Wainscot [1]; Marble Beauty [2]; Dun-bar [1]; Dark Arches [4]; Common Rustic group [8]; Silver Y [5] and The Fan-foot [1].
