An early morning in Wigston Magna, Leicestershire - July 15, 2016

Seventy-four moths were trapped and identified last night with four being new for the year.


The following were recorded: Diamond-back Moth [1]; Crassa unitella [1]; Celypha striana [1]; Celypha lacunana [2]; Ancylis achatana [3]; Eucosma cana [1]; Leopard Moth [1]; Bee Moth [1]; Anania coronate [1]; Small Magpie [1]; Eudonia mercurella [2]; Chrysoteuchia culmella [7]; Crambus pascuella [3]; Poplar Hawk-moth [1]; Small Fan-footed Wave [1]; Riband Wave [4]; Brimstone Moth [2]; Swallow-tailed Moth [1]; Willow Beauty [3]; Buff-tip [1]; White Satin Moth [1]; Buff Ermine [2]; Common Footman [8]; Beautiful Golden Y [1]; Dagger species [1]; The Shark [1]; Marbled Beauty [1]; Mottled Rustic [3]; The Uncertain [3]; The Rustic [2]; Dark Arches [3]; Common Rustic species [3]; Bright-line Brown-eye [3]; Smoky Wainscot [2] and Heart and Dart [2].
