An early morning in Wigston Magna, Leicestershire - July 14, 2016

It was a little cooler last night and the number of moths trapped was less at fifty-nine, covering twenty-five species, with four being new for the year.


The following were recorded: Light Brown Apple Moth [1]; Lozotaeniodes formosana [1]; Chrysoteuchia culmella [10]; Crambus pascuella [2]; Poplar Hawk-moth [1]; Elephant Hawk-moth [1]; Riband Wave [5]; Lime-speck Pug [1]; Swallow-tailed Moth [2]; Peppered Moth [2]; Willow Beauty [2]; Light Emerald [1]; Common Footman [4]; Silver Y [1]; The Miller [1]; The Shark [1]; The Uncertain [9]; Dark Arches [5]; Common Rustic species [1]; Bright-line Brown-eye [1]; Dot Moth [1]; Varied Coronet [1]; Smoke Wainscot [3]; The Flame [1] and Large Yellow Underwing [1].
