An early morning in Wigston Magna, Leicestershire - June 9, 2016

I put the moth trap out last night and trapped and identified sixty-six moths covering twenty species, eleven of which were new for the year.


The following were trapped and identified: Diamond-back Moth [32]; Light Brown Apple Moth [6]; Cnephasia species [2]; Celypha striana [1]; Celypha lacunana [1]; Small Magpie [1]; Garden Pebble [1]; Garden Carpet [1]; Willow Beauty [3]; Buff-tip [1]; Cinnabar [1]; The Spectacle [1]; Rustic Shoulder-knot [2]; Hebrew Character [1]; Bright-line Brown-eye [1]; Heart and Dart [8]; Shuttle-shaped Dart [2]; Flame [1]; Small Square-spot [5] and Setaceous Hebrew Character [1].
