An early morning at Newton Harcourt, Leicestershire - June 19, 2012

Dave had put his moth trap out yesterday evening and he had caught fourteen moths of ten species.  It had not been as productive as we had hoped for but any opportunity is good during this wet summer.
The following were trapped: Common Swift 2; Celypha lacunana 1; Celypha lacunana 1; Peppered Moth 1; Flame [1]; Brown Rustic [1]; Dark Arches 1; Vine’s Rustic 1; Silver Y 4 and Plain Golden Y 1.
Not a great catch but nice to be able to see some moths at least.
