An early morning in Wigston Magna, Leicestershire - June 29, 2018


Just eighty-nine moths trapped and identified last night but three were new for the year.

The following were recorded: Brown House Moth [2]; Marasmarcha lunaedactyla [1];  Dark Fruit-tree Tortrix [2]; Clepsis consimilana [4]; Cnephasia sp [1]; Celypha lacunana [1]; Ancylis achatana; Small Magpie [3]; Eudonia Lacustrata [1]; Chrysoteuchia culmella [11]; Crambus pascuella [6]; Agriphila straminella [2]; Elephant Hawk-moth [1]; Riband Wave [7]; Small Blood-vein [3]; Common Marbled Carpet [1]; Foxglove Pug [2]; Brimstone Moth [1]; Swallow-tailed Moth [1]; Willow Beauty [1]; Straw Dot [1]; The Snout [2]; Common Footman [16]; Scarce Footman [1]; Dagger species [1]; The Rustic [1]; Large Nutmeg [1]; Dark Arches [1]; Common Rustic species [1]; Marbled Minor species [1]; Heart an Dart [4]; The Flame [2]; Ingrailed Clay [1] and Large Yellow Underwing [4].
